Who is Vyhn

Vyhn (by his real name Édouard Arseneault) is a 14-year-old musician from Montréal, creating electronic music with curiosity, energy, and a sense of freedom rather than perfection.His story started with classical instruments. His mother introduced him to violin, then piano, hoping to shape an artist in the family. But strict methods never fit his hyperactive energy. After dozens of piano teachers, the real spark came through a school music teacher, who saw his potential and pushed him to perform. Together they performed and even recorded a small album on Bandcamp in 2023. His first public step.At first, Vyhn dreamed of becoming a classical pianist, inspired by Jean-Michel Blais. But the rigid discipline of conservatory training left him searching for freedom. That freedom arrived by accident at Montréal’s SAT, where he discovered Ableton during a summer program. The experience unlocked a new world: sampling, synthesis, and the boundless possibilities of electronic music.Today, Vyhn embraces imperfection and experimentation. Each track is part of the Vyhnivant, a living universe where mistakes become textures, emotions become sounds, and every release is a step deeper into who he is becoming.
