Vyhn de son vrai nom Édouard Arseneault, est un jeune artiste originaire de Montréal, né en 2011. Diagnostiqué autiste, TDAH, dys et haut potentiel intellectuel, il développe très tôt une sensibilité particulière pour la musique. Après quelques années passées à chercher sa voie dans l'apprentissage classique, il découvre vers l'âge de 9 ans le pouvoir des synthétiseurs. Inspiré par des artistes comme Flume, Kubbi et Michael Wyckoff, il débute son projet d'artiste "Vyhn" dès ses 14 ans. Avec une volonté d'explorer les possibilités infinies offertes par la technologie et les synthétiseurs, Édouard se positionne comme artiste en évolution constante.

Vyhn, whose real name is Édouard Arseneault, is a young artist from Montreal, born in 2011. Diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and high intellectual potential, he developed a particular sensitivity for music at a very early age. After a few years spent searching for his path in classical learning, he discovered the power of synthesizers around the age of 9. Inspired by artists like Flume, Kubbi, and Michael Wyckoff, he began his artist project "Vyhn" at the age of 14. With a desire to explore the infinite possibilities offered by technology and synthesizers, Édouard positions himself as an artist in constant evolution.

Qui est Édouard Arseneault, alias Vyhn?Édouard Arseneault est un jeune compositeur et producteur de musique électronique, né en 2011 à Montréal. Dès ses premières années, il a montré une sensibilité particulière au son et aux textures auditives inhabituelles. Diagnostiqué autiste, TDAH, dyslexique et haut potentiel intellectuel, il a grandi avec un cerveau en hyperactivité constante - un cerveau qui observe, qui ressent, qui questionne sans arrêt. Ce n’est pas toujours simple à vivre, mais cela a façonné son regard unique sur le monde.Tout a commencé avec le violon. Sa mère l’avait inscrit jeune, dans l’idée de nourrir sa curiosité musicale. Mais la méthode classique, la rigidité des partitions, le cadre trop étroit… ça n’a pas fonctionné. Le piano est venu ensuite, plus fluide, plus organique. Mais malgré tout, il manquait quelque chose. Ce qu’il cherchait, sans encore le savoir, c’était la liberté de créer à sa manière. Sans règles. Sans ordre. Juste avec ce qu’il avait dans la tête et dans le cœur.C’est vers 9 ans, en 2021, après un atelier à la S.A.T. (Société des Arts Technologiques), qu’Édouard a découvert l’univers des synthétiseurs. Comprenant qu’il pouvait générer ses propres sons et manipuler la matière sonore elle-même, il eu une révélation. Ableton est devenu son terrain de jeu. Il ne voulait plus simplement jouer de la musique — il voulait en fabriquer. La déconstruire. La réinventer.Au fil des années, Édouard a développé son univers sonore : glitché, brut, texturé, parfois planant, parfois grinçant. Il ne compose pas pour coller à une tendance ou pour être « accessible ». Il compose parce qu’il en a besoin. C’est son équilibre, son moyen de respirer, de s’isoler, de se comprendre. Il aime les sons qui dérangent un peu, les structures qui se cassent, les rythmes qui s’emmêlent.Ses influences sont marquantes : Flume, pour son approche organique et imprévisible. Michael Wyckoff, pour ses synthés puissants dans Bonelab, un jeu qui l’a profondément inspiré. Kubbi, pour ses textures nostalgiques. Et Porter Robinson, pour la poésie émotionnelle.En 2025, à 14 ans, Édouard a lancé officiellement son projet Vyhn. Il a publié sa première musique sur les plateformes grâce à DistroKid. Il a appris tout seul à gérer un projet musical de A à Z : produire, mixer, masteriser, créer des visuels avec l’aide d’outils IA, distribuer sa musique sur Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, gérer ses profils, comprendre ses statistiques, créer un site web… et faire tout ça sans perdre le feu qui l’anime.Mais Vyhn, ce n’est pas qu’un projet musical. C’est une manière d’exister. Un endroit où il peut transformer ses pensées en sons, ses idées en vibrations. C’est un univers construit avec sincérité, patience et beaucoup de passion.Édouard ne cherche pas à devenir viral. Il cherche à devenir lui-même, le plus profondément possible.
Et chaque son qu’il partage, c’est un pas de plus vers cette vérité.

Who is Édouard Arseneault, aka Vyhn?Édouard Arseneault is a young electronic music composer and producer, born in 2011 in Montreal. Diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and high intellectual potential, he grew up with a constantly hyperactive brain—a brain that constantly observes, feels, and questions. It's not always easy to live with, but it has shaped his unique perspective on the world.It all started with the violin. His mother enrolled him at a young age, with the idea of nurturing his musical curiosity. But the classical method, the rigidity of the scores, the narrow framework... it didn't work. The piano came later, more fluid, more organic. But despite everything, something was missing. What he was looking for, without yet knowing it, was the freedom to create in his own way. Without rules. Without order. Just with what was in his head and in his heart.It was around the age of 9, in 2021, after a workshop at the S.A.T. (Société des Arts Technologiques), that Édouard discovered the world of synthesizers. Realizing that he could generate his own sounds and manipulate the sound itself, he had a revelation. Ableton became his playground. He no longer wanted to simply play music—he wanted to make it. Deconstruct it. Reinvent it.Over the years, Édouard has developed his sonic universe: glitchy, raw, textured, sometimes soaring, sometimes grating. He doesn't compose to fit a trend or to be "accessible." He composes because he needs to. It's his balance, his way of breathing, of isolating himself, of understanding himself. He likes sounds that are a little disturbing, structures that break, rhythms that get tangled up.His influences are striking: Flume, for his organic and unpredictable approach. Michael Wyckoff, for his powerful synths in Bonelab, a game that deeply inspired him. Kubbi, for his nostalgic textures. And Porter Robinson, for emotional poetry.In 2025, at the age of 14, Édouard officially launched his project Vyhn. He released his first music on platforms thanks to DistroKid. He taught himself how to manage a musical project from A to Z: producing, mixing, mastering, creating visuals with the help of AI tools, distributing his music on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, managing his profiles, understanding his statistics, creating a website... and doing all this without losing the fire that drives him.But Vyhn isn't just a musical project. It's a way of existing. A place where he can transform his thoughts into sounds, his ideas into vibrations. It's a universe built with sincerity, patience, and a great deal of passion.Édouard isn't trying to go viral. He's trying to become himself, as deeply as possible.
And every sound he shares is a step closer to that truth.

Aujourd’hui, j’ai passé pas mal de temps à bosser sur le logo officiel de Vyhn. C'est une inspiration d'un dessin random que j'avais fait en 5e primaire. (Je m'ennuyais ok!?)

Ce projet a évolué. Il a pris une nouvelle forme. Plus profonde. Plus honnête. Plus moi.La pochette reste la même, mais les titres, l’ordre et l’atmosphère ont été repensés pour que l’album soit plus fort et reflète vraiment ce que je veux partager.
Ce n’est pas un changement par obligation. C’est une transformation."Life Was a Bloomfield" arrive.
